The Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative (DSNI) invites you to help us plan the future of the Dudley Neighbors Inc. Community Building (DNICB), formerly the Citizens Bank building at 572 Columbia Road in Upham's Corner. With support from Mayor Walsh and the City of Boston, Dudley Neighbors Inc. (DNI) purchased the property and placed it on our community land trust.
We are working with the City of Boston and community partners to plan the future of this property, in coordination with the Upham’s Corner Implementation Process, which includes revitalization of the Strand Theatre and creation of a new Upham’s Corner branch library. For more information about the Upham´s Corner Implementation process go to www.bostonplans.org/planning/planning-initiatives/uphamscorner.
At the end of our process, we will issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for redevelopment of DNICB that reflects the neighborhood's priorities and select a development partner willing to implement our vision. The community will retain control of the land through the community land trust after development is complete.
For more information or to get involved, send an email to [email protected] to be added to our mailing list. We will also post updates and invitations to upcoming events to this page.
